BE CAREFUL!

These are the last words most children and young adults hear when they leave the comfort of their home.

There is no greater challenge for parents and guardians than to raise healthy, emotionally stable children. Most of us, whether we are parents, teachers, or guardians, tend to use more caution than green light when it comes to advising our children, and rightfully so. There are so many potential dangers waiting for kids both offline and online. With that said, there are ways to encourage open exploration while keeping kids safe. For some of us, it is a delicate balance. For others of us, it is a no brainer. Where ever you stand on how much is too much, or how little is too little, at least give it some thought as to what it takes to teach your child to be a leader. And if you want to discover ways to help your child navigate the online world, check out my latest book When Is C.R.A.P. Not C.R.A.P. On The Internet – A Teenager’s Guide For Using Social Media To Attract Admissions, Scholarships, and Employers.
